Moving & Handling Course

Duration – 4 Hours

Ref: CHSE – H&S 3

Course Aims:

  • To provide candidates with the practical skills and knowledge to reduce the risk of manual handling injuries

Course Contents:

  • Understanding the requirements of the Regulations
  • Anatomy and physiology
  • An appreciation and recognition of injuries which may occur from poor lifting
  • Application of basic lifting techniques
  • Practical aspects reconstructed by group members
  • Complex lifting problems discussed

Course Outcome:

  • To equip candidates with the knowledge and practical experience of safe moving and handling techniques
  • Compliance with current Health & Safety Legislation

On successful completion of this training a certificate of attendance will be issued
