Emergency First Aid Course for Those Working with Young People

Duration – 4 Hours

Course Aims:

  1. To provide candidates with the skills and knowledge required to deal with a First Aid Emergency involving children

Course Contents:

  • Child CPR
  • Causes and Treatment of dealing with an Unconsciousness Child
  • Choking
  • Ear Infection
  • Asthma
  • Croup
  • Minor Seizures or Infantile Convulsions
  • Wounds & Bleedings
  • Head Injuries
  • Ear Infections
  • Stings & Bites
  • Child associated injuries
  • Record Keeping and Accident Reporting
  • First Aid Kit and its Contents
  • Examination of a Casualty

Course Outcome:

  • Theoretical understanding of First Aid with particular reference to children
  • Practical experience of First Aid techniques

On successful completion of this training a certificate of attendance will be issued
