Appointed First Aider Course

Duration – 5 Hours

Course Aims:

  • To provide candidates with a basic understanding of First Aid Legislation
  • To fulfil the role of an Appointed Person

Course Contents:

  • First Aid Legislation
  • Causes and Treatment of Unconsciousness
  • Method of Resuscitation
  • Resuscitation – Adult; Child & Infant
  • CPR protocols – Adult; Child & Infant
  • Wounds & Bleedings
  • What to do in an emergency
  • Record Keeping and Accident Reporting
  • First Aid Kit and its Contents
  • Examination of a Casualty
  • All other work related Accidents / Illnesses

Course Outcome:

  • To equip candidates with the knowledge of the role of the Appointed Person
  • Have the ability to carry out basic First Aid procedures

On successful completion of this training a certificate of attendance will be issued
