Responsible / Competent Person (Fire) Course

Duration – 6 Hours

Ref: CHSE – Fire 3

Course Aims:

  • To inform delegates of the likely effects on their Company / Business
  • To provide delegates with the knowledge and understanding to meet their increased responsibilities as Responsible / Competent Persons in compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
  • To ensure that there is good communication and co-ordination between Fire Wardens / Marshals
  • A standard approach is adopted within the Organisation in line with policies and procedures

Course Contents:

  • The role and responsibilities of the Responsible / Competent Person
  • Understand the legal requirement for ‘Basic Fire Awareness’ and ‘Fire Warden Marshal’ training
  • Understand the training requirements of the Company

Course Outcome:

  • Be able to understand the information contained within their Fire Risk Assessment
  • Equip the delegates with the knowledge of how to deal with Fire Safety within their working environment
  • Compliance with current Health & Safety Legislation

    On successful completion of this training a certificate of attendance will be issued
