Fire Warden / Fire Marshal Course

Duration – 2 Hours

Ref: CHSE – Fire 2

Course Aims:

  • To provide candidates with the understanding, practical skills and knowledge to meet their increased responsibilities as a Fire Warden / Marshal and compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

Course Contents:

  • The role and responsibilities of the Fire Warden / Marshal
  • Protected escape routes, their availability and evacuation procedures
  • Understanding:
    • Your emergency fire plan and its implications
    • Company fire policies and procedures
    • What information is required if an emergency occurs
  • Completion of a roll call and forwarding on the information
  • Record keeping
  • Location and use of fire fighting equipment

Course Outcome:

  • Raise awareness and equip the candidates with the knowledge of how to deal with additional fire safety responsibilities of a Fire Warden / Marshal
  • Compliance with current Health & Safety Legislation

Prerequisites:

Delegates attending this course should have completed the ‘Basic Fire Awareness Course’

On successful completion of this training a certificate of attendance will be issued
