Evacuation Drills

Duration – 1 Hour

Ref: CHSE – Fire 4

Course Aims:

  • Evacuation of the building safely and efficiently to designated assembly points, in a Fire Emergency
  • Ability to follow a designated Fire Evacuation Plan with predetermined ‘Safe Routes’
  • Making all staff aware of the company polices and procedures relating to emergency fire evacuations
  • To understand the need of a roll call
  • Ensure that the company complies with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

Course Contents:

  • Evacuate a building safely and sufficiently in a given time frame
  • Be aware of your companies policies and procedures when evacuating the building
  • Be aware of legal requirements for regular emergency evacuation drills
  • Understand the roles of both the ‘Fire Wardens’ and ‘Fire Marshals’
  • Recognise potential hazards in poor house keeping ignition sources and blocked fire exits
  • Understand arson

Course Outcome:

  • Raise awareness and equip the employees of the importance of evacuation drills
  • Compliance with current Health & Safety Legislation

On successful completion of this training a certificate of attendance will be issues
